| This is Gray and Kathy Jolink, with Ann in the background. (Ann is usually one of the first to the water.) This is the section of the Pedernales that we swam in. You might notice the haze in the background. Those trees are not that far away, but the fires in the Yucutan this year are worse than normal, and the smoke has made it all the way here. Believe it or not, it is not nearly as bad as it was a few years back, whe you could not only see the haze, you could smell burned grass from 1500 miles away. |
