| You can kind of get an idea from this picture that the current was pretty swift most of the way. At one point we timed ourselves, and we covered 6 miles in an hour and a half! Not too bad. Since the days are so short at this time of year, it was a big help having this current to move us along. Just the same, we wished we had 4 days and three nights to run the river instead of 3 days and 2 nights. You can again get a feeling for the sheer height of these cliffs. It is just phenomenal scenery. ->Next |
