| These trees are Kingsville boxwoods, which are especially slow-growing and have small leaves. Another man in the Austin Bonsai Club explained that the intent is to make the trees look old, not necessarily to have them be that old. Mostbonsai trees are less than 20 years old, but they look much older than that. You can see the "muck" dam at the edge of the planting. It's made out of any old sticky mud mixed with spagnum moss. |
